In 2004, our systems were hacked with an SQL Injection vector, which injected JavaScript into rendered content. We were able to successfully systematically remove the injected malware by reverse-engineering the attack vector.

Since then, we have added multiple additional security devices (firewalls & anti-spam), and have implemented multiple layers of security using these devices along with software/data structures allowing blocking single IP addresses at the web server, and blocking IP ranges (at the ISP level), as well as Geo-IP blocking (at the country level) for abusive sources, using firewall alerts and daily automated analysis of web, firewall and anti-spam logs.
